Essential items of daily need gifted to Sadhus and widows

Vrindavan, 2016.11.22 (VT):  Prem Mandir of Vrindavan spread ‘Prem’, the love, through its philanthropic activities. The holy land of Shri Dham Vrindavan and Varsana witnessed a grand feast in which thousands of Sadhus and widows were fed and gifted the essential items of the daily need.                                                                                                        The SadhSONY DSCus and widows of Vraja were fed sumptuously and gifted items for the winter months and their daily living by the Jagat Guru Kripalu Parishat. The free distribution took place at the Rangeeli Mahal in Varsana and at Prem Mandir in Vrindavan.

The sadhus were invited to be benefited from the charity at Rangeeli Mahal on 19th November and at Prem Mandir on 21st November. The widows visited Rangeeli Mahal, Varsana on 20th November and Prem Mandir, Vrindavan on 22nd November for the grand feast.

In their annual philanthropic event, 7000 sadhus and 6000 widow mothers were benefitted by the philanthropy of the Jagat Guru Kripalu Parishat.

The gifts given to the sadhus included a blanket, jacket, set of clothing (dhoti & kurta set), shawl, towel, mat, hand bag, travel bag, umbrella, 2 steel containers, and soap bars for bathing and washing clothes. The widow mothers were gifted with essential items of necessity such as blankets, jackets, set of clothing (saree, blouse and petticoat set), shawl, towel, mat, hand bag, 3 steel containers, and soap bars for bathing and washing clothes.

Very old persons, lepers, physically challenged people were brought to the Prasadam hall on wheel chairs by the volunteers of the JKP.

The charitable initiative was conducted under the guidance of Jagat Guru Kripalu Parishat Presidents, Sushri Dr. Vishakha Tripathi ji, Sushri Dr. Shyama Tripathi Ji and Sushri Dr. Krishna Tripathi ji.

In their joint statement the presidents of JKP said, “The plight of the poor is one that many will never be able to understand. Imagine waking up in harsh winter weather without any kind of protection. The pain that it causes is unbearable. Winter is a major reason for deaths in India and those who are disadvantaged need our help.”

“Jagatguru Kripaluji Maharaj, once commented that it hurt him to see such pain. He tirelessly served humanity all His life and through His philanthropic activities, helped thousands and thousands of people to reduce the sufferings they face,” said the Presidents.
